What a brilliant weekend at Harrogate, if you missed it put it in your diary for next year. I know it is a long way for some exhibitors, and driving home on Sunday can be a drag, it was disappointing to hear of negative comments about this, but that can be applied to any show that is not in your area. In an effort to offset such problems, the membership at the 2011 AGM voted to rotate the young and intermediate shows around the areas, as the adult is set at Yarnfield in the midlands. This will come into effect at the young stock show for 2013, as the shows are already confirmed up to then. The National shows are just three weekends in the year, and Bradford and
London another two, so why not put them in you diary to visit all 5, it still leaves you 47 free weekends!!
We were busy around the stand as always, a warm welcome to new members, and thanks to everyone for renewing your subs. Hope you are all enjoying the yearbook, I am sure Simon would love to hear from you with any ideas, or even a quick thank you. We are already planning for next year, so if anyone out there fancies writing an article, it would be great. Lots of you are busy posting on facebook so why not give it some thought.
Many congratulations to the winners at Bradford, thanks again to Simon for his superb photos, well done to Trevor Hoole who went Best of Breed for the second year running with the same stunning Chinchilla.
All efforts have now turned to the first National show of the year, The Intermediate, in conjunction with Gloucester Rabbit Club, and the West of England and South Wales Rabbit Club. Simon Beynon is judging the National, hope he has time to take the photos!! Nigel Atkinson doing the WESWDRC and Ray Buck the Dwarfs in the Gloucester show.
